The possibilities are endless! There are so many waterproof flooring options; you can achieve any visual from wood to stone.

You can even turn your bathroom into an upscale wellness spa with marble-look floors or your kitchen into a Mediterranean palace with brightly colored, encaustic-style tiles.

Wood-look options

1. Tile: This product combines natural wood beauty with the function of tile. It is made possible by a new technology called inkjet, where the intricate patterns include grains, textures, and color variations. It can be cut into planks or strips of any size.

2. Luxury vinyl: This is an incredibly realistic simulation of genuine wood, created with high-definition photographs and micro beveling and embossing to add depth, dimension, and textured looks. These waterproof floors can be cut into planks or squares; many say the extra seams add even more to the authentic appearance.

3. Waterproof (vinyl) flooring: This is an amped-up version of luxury vinyl, engineered to be thicker, more durable, and constructed with the WPC (wood plastic composite) or SPC (stone plastic composite) cores that won't peel or ripple ever, no matter how much water there is for how long.

4. Waterproof laminate: Mainly associated with hardwood, this features a non-wood construction, making it spill-proof, eliminating concerns about soaking and staining.

Stone and tile looks

By no means are the products mentioned above limited to only wood. Porcelain tile, which can be made to look like anything, is often preferred for stone mimics, and we're told that stone look laminate has been flying out the doors. Meanwhile, luxury vinyl and waterproof flooring are just as popular for stone and tile looks.
